POSITION OVERVIEW

To assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service always.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and takingresponsibility of guest needs
  • Decision-making in linewith service standards throughout service to ensure bestthepossible guest experience
  • Assist with maintainingcontrol of beverage cost
  • Assist with inventory of all F&B product, durable and non-durable items.
  • Run daily line-up and communicate pertinent information to the Food and Beverage staff
  • Responsible for checking table settings and that the dining room is ready for our guestsprior to each service period
  • Knowledge of all menu items and accompanying silverware
  • Ensure that orders are relayed the kitchen in an accurate and timely manner
  • Checking standards in the dining room to maintain consistency with the service standards put in place
  • Ensure that the flow of the guest experience in the dining room is consistent and timely
  • Communicating issues to upper management and recordingondaily log
  • Handle guestcomplaints and questions in a professional manner
  • Be aware of each and every table in the dining room, making sure that no table is left unattended for an unnecessary length of time
  • Informing the kitchen of any special requests or needs (ex : allergic to shellfish)
  • Recording and passing on any useful information to thestaffsuch as special occasions, etc.
  • Assist with the training of the dining room staff on all aspects of the operation in the dining room
  • Ensure that guests are greeted in a timelymannerupon entering the dining room
  • Communicate with all dining room staff to ensure that they have adequate help
  • Taking dailylogs of in-house guests
  • Attending morningmanager’smeetings whennecessary
  • Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform
  • AssistingRestaurantManager in times of need; assuming full management duties in the absence ofRestaurantManager
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management
  • Assisting in organizing theexecutionof special events and functions
  • Assist all staff in dining room with serving our guestswhen necessary
  • Maintaining overall cleanliness and tidiness of dining room and public spaces
  • Maintaining cleanliness of back of house and kitchen area
  • Completing opening & closing responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Well groomed
  • Presentable in accordance with Aman image
  • Articulate and refined speech
  • Healthy
  • Degree / Diploma in any discipline
  • Minimum 1 yearas Assistant Manager of an outlet in an international luxury hotel
  • People person and good motivator
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Solid leadership and training skills
  • Flexible, enthusiastic, and initiative
  • Computer knowledge
