POSITION OVERVIEW
To assist the Restaurant Manager in ensuring that the outlet is managed efficiently according to the established concept statement, providing courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service always.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Satisfying guest needs and exceeding their expectations by projecting a positive hotel image through proper grooming, appropriate verbal communication, and takingresponsibility of guest needs
- Decision-making in linewith service standards throughout service to ensure bestthepossible guest experience
- Assist with maintainingcontrol of beverage cost
- Assist with inventory of all F&B product, durable and non-durable items.
- Run daily line-up and communicate pertinent information to the Food and Beverage staff
- Responsible for checking table settings and that the dining room is ready for our guestsprior to each service period
- Knowledge of all menu items and accompanying silverware
- Ensure that orders are relayed the kitchen in an accurate and timely manner
- Checking standards in the dining room to maintain consistency with the service standards put in place
- Ensure that the flow of the guest experience in the dining room is consistent and timely
- Communicating issues to upper management and recordingondaily log
- Handle guestcomplaints and questions in a professional manner
- Be aware of each and every table in the dining room, making sure that no table is left unattended for an unnecessary length of time
- Informing the kitchen of any special requests or needs (ex : allergic to shellfish)
- Recording and passing on any useful information to thestaffsuch as special occasions, etc.
- Assist with the training of the dining room staff on all aspects of the operation in the dining room
- Ensure that guests are greeted in a timelymannerupon entering the dining room
- Communicate with all dining room staff to ensure that they have adequate help
- Taking dailylogs of in-house guests
- Attending morningmanager’smeetings whennecessary
- Keeping high personal grooming standards and maintaining a neat uniform
- AssistingRestaurantManager in times of need; assuming full management duties in the absence ofRestaurantManager
- Performing other duties as assigned by management
- Assisting in organizing theexecutionof special events and functions
- Assist all staff in dining room with serving our guestswhen necessary
- Maintaining overall cleanliness and tidiness of dining room and public spaces
- Maintaining cleanliness of back of house and kitchen area
- Completing opening & closing responsibilities
