Job Description
- Lead and oversee the Finance and Purchasing teams to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Develop and refine accounting, finance, and purchasing policies for optimal control and efficiency.
- Manage daily financial operations and implement processes to protect assets and mitigate risks.
- Ensure accurate execution of financial tasks, including receipts, payments, fixed assets management, and tax compliance.
- Oversee the operations of the bookstore.
- Provide financial advice to the CFO on banking, treasury, and hedging matters.
- Manage insurance provider selection and address related queries.
- Participate as a director on the provident fund committee.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts to maintain the organization's financial health.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, laws, and tax regulations.
- Maintain and backup accounting systems and supervise financial staff.
- Assist the CFO in financial planning and budget control.
- Review and provide recommendations on monthly financial results.
- Manage fiscal reporting activities, including revenue / expense and balance sheet reports, and oversee contract / grant budgets.
- Advise executive management on the financial impact of business activities.
- Lead the evaluation of short and long-term financial objectives.
- Coordinate audit engagements and implement recommendations.
- Verify financial documents and transactions before seeking administrative approval.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Deputy Head of School / CFO.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Management preferred.
- At least 8 years of senior management experience in Accounting or Finance, including 5 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of Financial Reporting standards and taxation.
- Proficient in both English and Thai, with excellent communication skills.
- Experience with financial software systems and computer literacy, such as JD Edwards and MS Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
