The Opportunity

As a Senior Electrical Engineer specialising in Data Centres, you will lead the design, delivery, and optimisation of electrical systems for mission-critical facilities, ensuring reliability, efficiency, scalability, and resilience. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will provide technical leadership across all project phases, from concept design through to construction and commissioning. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers, driving innovation, and delivering high-quality electrical engineering solutions that support the evolving demands of the data centre industry.

• Lead and deliver electrical engineering designs for data centre projects, acting as Project Manager, Electrical Lead, Project Engineer, or Task Manager across a range of project sizes and complexities.
• Manage project delivery, including planning resources, monitoring budgets, overseeing quality, leading site inspections, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, authorities, and other stakeholders to develop integrated and innovative engineering solutions.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers, providing technical guidance, reviewing work, supporting professional growth, and fostering a high-performing team environment.
• Support business development activities by preparing fee proposals, identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and contributing to repeat business and project growth.

Is this role right for you?

• A recognised tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with significant experience within a consulting engineering environment.
• Proven experience leading the design and delivery of electrical engineering solutions for complex projects, ideally within the data centre or mission-critical sector.
• Strong technical expertise in electrical engineering design principles, industry standards, and relevant software and engineering tools.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently lead meetings, presentations, and client engagements.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including project management, resource planning, mentoring teams, problem-solving, and a commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainable engineering excellence.
