Position: Bilingual Thai STEM Expert (PhD) AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $24$28/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

• Write expert-level prompts in Thai across specialized scientific topics.
• Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy helpfulness and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
• Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
• Shape model reasoning by strengthening how models handle specialized technical topics in Thai.
• Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and downstream performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in chemistry biology or a closely related field.
• Native or near-native fluency in Thai plus business-level written English.
• Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
• Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information.

Preferred

• Based in Thailand or the wider Southeast Asia region.
• Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.
• Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis molecular biology microbiology virology or genetics.
• Research or coursework on chemical safety and security biosafety and biosecurity or hazardous-materials handling.
• Experience reviewing grading or red-teaming technical content.
