Position: Bilingual Thai STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety Type: Contract Compensation: $24–$28/hour Location: Remote Role Responsibilities Write expert-level prompts in Thai across specialized scientific topics. Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content. Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations. Shape model reasoning by strengthening how models handle specialized technical topics in Thai . Collaborate with AI research teams to improve training data quality and downstream performance. Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance . Qualifications Must-Have PhD in chemistry , biology , or a closely related field. Native or near-native fluency in Thai , plus business-level written English . Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield. Sound judgment around scientific safety and the responsible handling of dual-use information. Preferred Based in Thailand or the wider Southeast Asia region. Radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background. Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis , molecular biology , microbiology , virology , or genetics . Research or coursework on chemical safety and security, biosafety and biosecurity, or hazardous-materials handling. Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
