General Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee the financial and accounting operations of our hospitality property. The Financial Controller will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, audit, cost control, revenue control, compliance, and financial analysis, while providing commercial insight to support the property's overall performance. The successful candidate will work closely with the General Manager, Operations, Revenue Management, Sales, F&B, Procurement, HR, and Group Finance to ensure strong financial governance and profitable business operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day accounting and financial control activities
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial reports
• Manage month-end and year-end closing processes
• Analyze financial performance against budget, forecast, and prior-year results
• Lead the annual budgeting and business planning process
• Monitor and control revenue generated across Rooms, F&B, Events, Bars, Restaurants, and other operating departments
• Ensure daily revenue reconciliation between PMS, POS, payment gateways, banks, and accounting systems
• Monitor hotel operating costs and departmental expenses
• Develop and maintain effective internal financial controls and accounting procedures
• Lead, supervise, and develop the Finance & Accounting team

About you

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum 5–8 years of finance and accounting experience, preferably within hospitality
• Previous experience as Financial Controller, Hotel Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller, Chief Accountant, Finance Manager, or similar
• Strong experience in hotel, resort, hostel, restaurant, or F&B finance
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, internal controls, and cost control
• Experience with PMS, POS, ERP, and accounting systems
• Strong Excel and financial-analysis skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
• Strong understanding of local statutory accounting, taxation, and compliance
• Excellent English communication skills
