Job description

ABOUT THE JOB

  • Design and optimize data pipelines and ETL / ELT workflows using Databricks and Apache Spark.
  • Build and maintain data models and data lakes to support analytics and reporting.
  • Develop reusable Python code for transformation, orchestration, and automation.
  • Implement and tune complex PySpark and SQL queries for large-scale data processing.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Business Units to deliver scalable solutions.
  • Ensure data quality, governance, and metadata management across projects.
  • Manage Azure cloud services for data infrastructure and deployment.
  • Support daily operations and performance of the Databricks platform .

ABOUT YOU

  • 3+ years of experiences in Data Engineering.
  • Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Apache Spark , and distributed data processing.
  • Strong proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL .
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and performance optimization .
  • Experience with Azure cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse).
  • Familiarity with CI / CD and version control (Git, BitBucket).
  • Understanding of real-time data streaming and tools such as Qlik for replication.
  • Academic background : Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Fluent English. Another language is a plus.
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and can work independently as well as in a team.
